Spring 2
Continuing the 'Disasters' themed text, 'Floodlands', we will be writing a persuasive speech about why we, as an individual, would be the best new leader of Eels Island! This will be followed by a newspaper report from the fictional 'Norwich Gazette' discussing the implications of climate change and the rising sea levels that will impact Norwich in generations to come.
In Maths, in addition to the arithmetic element, we will also be having a drive on shape, space and measures, including ratio; scale and proportion; statistics; area and volume and use of a protractor respectively.
This is a fun and very busy half term, with a lot to fit in to five weeks, including World Book Day (including a welcome return for author Emilie Lauren Jones); British Science Week; Rocksteady Music Concert and more. We will also be focusing on dance in PE, and these sessions will take place on Tuesdays (as opposed to Thursdays) from the final two weeks of term until the Easter holidays.
