Interfaith Week 23-24
During Interfaith week this year Lapworth School welcomed a number of visitors from different faith backgrounds. For the first time a practising Buddhist taught children in Chestnut class about worshiping through meditation, whilst Ash and Sapling Classes were able to visit St Giles Church with Father Patrick. Mulberry Class returned to the Shree Krishna Mandir and this time were able to make small offerings of coins and fruits as we learnt about praying to the Murtis. Sycamore and Beech class welcomed back an Imam from and deepened their understanding of the core beliefs of the Islamic faith. Jane Salt returned to Oak class to challenge the children to think about ethical and moral living outside of established religions.
