Practise identifying Adverbs using page 1 of the attached sheet. Adverbs are words that are added to a verb (an action word) to describe it. E.g. He shouted loudly. She ran excitedly. The man knocked nervously. Adverbs often end in ly.
To practise adding different coins to find the total amount of money. Any practise the children can have paying for items and getting change in real life situations would be very valuable. The following game is also useful for adding coins:
This week the children have been learning to tell the time. They have been practising reading an analogue clock that shows o’clock, half past, quarter past and quarter to times.
