Maths home work can be found at https://www.mymaths.co.uk/ Please enter the school login details and then your personal login. These can be found on the letter that was sent home this week as well as on the label stuck into the front of the reading diaries. Tasks will be set on Fridays and can be completed at any point during the week.
Children will need help to login in initially as well as to find their way around the site. By allowing your child to practice logging on themselves you will be helping them to access activities with greater confidence during computing lessons.
There are 2 question pages for the children to complete and at the end there is a mark it button. The task can be repeated and you can access the lesson for support by clicking on the lesson icon.
The Mymaths also has a number of games that children can play. However many of these involve maths that has not been covered in year 1 so have a check before your child starts to play. The Tug of War (counting within 20) and Mental Arithmetic Gnome game are suitable for year 1 children.
Please choose one task a week from the table in the PDF below to complete with your child. The tasks are organised from simpler on the left of the table to more challenging on the right. Your child can select any tasks that they feel confident with. If you would like to complete more than one activity a week, then you are free to choose as many as you like.
If you bring the sheet, with the tasks you have completed ticked off, back to school on Friday 18th March you can earn Family Points. There will be 2 Family Points given for every task completed. You do not need to bring evidence of the work you have done at home but if you would like to show it to us then we would be very pleased to celebrate it with you!
