Weekly Update

Week Commencing 13th July:

Once again we would like to thank you for the support you have given your children to produce some fantastic projects which hopefully you had a chance to look at, at our parent celebration event last week. It was particularly pleasing to hear how for some of the children the level of parental support required to produce their project work had reduced each term.

This week we have our final spelling test for Year 3s on Monday morning - the spellings are now on the website - it is unit 14. The children have also requested one last chance to get their times tables awards and we will have our final challenge on Monday afternoon. The information as to what they have completed for their times tables will be passed on to their next teacher so they can continue where they left off this term.

In literacy this week we will look at Kennings and try and finish our Anthology of our poetry and in maths we will try and create our own maths games.

On Tuesday morning we will be walking down to the hall to watch the Y6 play Aladdin and on Wednesday it is move up morning when we will all be visiting their new class and teachers.

This is our last weekly update and we would like to thank you all for your support. Class 3 have been a fantastic class to teach this year and we will miss all of you who are moving on to Class 4.

Some of you mentioned during Parents' Evening that you were having problems with regards to claiming the tokens and rewards for the Abacus homework. I have raised this with Abacus but to enable them to investigate I need to be able to provide them with details of the operating system you are running and the device you are using. They have however said that you can contact them directly from home using either the email:digital.support@pearson.com or telephone 0845 3138888. I hope that this helps resolve any issues that you may have.

We hope you have a fantastic holiday and a well earned rest!

Regards
