As part of our World Book Day celebrations, we were delighted to welcome Coventry Poet Laureate Emilie Lauren Jones into school today. Emilie’s workshop sessions were very valuable for nurturing and developing skills and enthusiasm towards reading and writing.

Lapworth Rock Stars!🎸🤘😎

On Wednesday 21st February we officially launched Times Tables Rock Stars (TTRS) in school. Children in reception to Year 6 were invited to come into school dressed as rock stars and their outfits were very impressive! The whole day was a huge success - we kicked off with a rock themed assembly followed by teacher vs pupils times tables battles for KS2 and number bond teacher vs pupils battles for our younger children.

As you can see from the picture, school staff were also encouraged to embrace their inner rock star with Mr Harris very keen to show off his spectacular beat box!
